Little Georgia is still waiting on her Maryland Birth Certificate and her US Passport, so she could not travel with Cole and Daddy to Canada to close the cottage. Mommy stayed home with her and had a "Girls Weekend." It was also a good time for Cole to get a lot of attention from The Preiditsch Family up in Canada. We celebrated Thanksgiving and the start of Oktoberfest too!
On the way to cottage country, we took time to buy some pumpkins and gourds by the side of the road for Uncle John and Auntie Sue for their Halloween! We thought the gourds doubled as telephones!
The weekend featured perfect weather to enjoy beach time one last time. Cole ran and played on the beach for hours! Special thanks to our friend Mister Tim, Nana and Pappa who helped us close the cottage.
We also took time to ring in Oktoberfest. Dressed in our lederhosen, we attended the ceremonial keg-tapping and oompa-pa bands!
On Thanksgiving Day, we attended the Oktoberfest Parade...lots of fun hanging out with family, eating pretzels and cider and trying not be eaten by passing bears!
Our last stop on the way home was sunrise at Niagara Falls. Cole said, "Daddy that water is really loud." He's right, the power of the Niagara River crashing over the Falls definitely makes it a natural wonder of the world.
