While in Maryland, our doctor thought he heard a little click in Baby Georgia's hip and recommended we get it checked out here in Atlanta. Little babies sometimes are born with hip displasia. This requires them to wear a funky brace around the legs and shoulders--not very comfy! We booked her for her ultrasound at the best hospital in town--Egleston Children's hospital at Emory University. What an amazing facilty! The staff was so nice and were instantly charmed by Baby Georgia. Dr. Patrick and her group of residents took such nice care of her during the ultrasound. Both hips were checked and both were given a clean bill of health--hooray! Georgia's hopes of competing in the Olympic 400 meter hurdles in 2028 are still alive! We all said a little prayer for the babies who are not so lucky. Walking by the cancer center, we wished those with tubes tied to them and countless hours of chemotherapy all our love.
